THE BEGINNING….

Our Principal Owner, TIM NICHOLS, has been in the industry for 15 years having served in the U.S.C.G. for 6 years, and the General Manager of a large, full service Boatyard/Marina in Wilmington, NC. He is an (ABYC) Master Technician and has been factory trained in most all aspects of marine mechanical systems and products. He has performed and managed: refits, re-powers, and all kinds of service work on vessels up to 110" in length . He is currently a licensed 100 ton Coast Guard Master Captain. His broad, long term experience gives him  intimate knowledge needed of the systems which are integral with Seakeeper installations and refit design.   

Our Business Manager, BARBARA KORNEGAY, grew up a mechanics daughter in Wrightsville Beach, NC  (she was fishing on the water with her father before she could walk). With 14 years of Real Estate Sales Experience, 10 of Interior Design and Home Renovations (and all the paperwork in between) it is not uncommon to find her in the office or turning wrenches in the Engine Room. With her experience in these other industries, mixed with her love for fishing, diving and all things on the water, it was only natural and fitting that she turned her direction to the Marine Industry.
