Government Contract
2024 has already been full of good tidings. Recently, we were contacted ( along with every other Florida Dealer) by several contracting companies to bid on 2 Army vessels for them. What they did not know is that we had also been contacted directly by the Patrick Airforce Base to place our own bid directly. Tri Sea is not only Veteran owned but we also already have our own SAMS membership enabling us to contract directly with the government.
All bidders had to show up to inspect the vessels at a prescribed time together. That exact time was right in the middle of the Miami boat show. Tyler stood in for us at the inspection and obviously did a great job representing Tri Sea. Thank you Tyler!
We found out last week, that we got the contract for both boats. We are excited to start adding this technology to these boats not only for the sale but for future safety of troops of all branches. We hope it is the first in a long line of government contracts to come.
Invitation To the panhandle!
For many years many of our clients have been requesting that we offer support to them in the Panhandle are of Florida. We have traveled for them in a true emergency but we have always held back because of difficulty in flights getting out there and not having a true home base in the area.
We were recently introduced to Bob Anderson of the new Pensicola Marine Center (Formerly Pensicola Shipyard). Bob Came to the Marine Center with 3 decades of yard management, most of which had been with Saunders Marine. Bob has invited us, with open arms, to set up our Seakeeper Service Support shop in what we think may be the greatest Marine center on the East Coast, rivaling competition such as Saunders and Jarrett Bay. Installations will come in the future, but our biggest aim is to handle our traveling clients that fill the panhandle regularly. In employee news below you will note, we already have our first hire for that area. We plan to wait to announce it publicly until he is back from training with a truck and all the equipment needed for support.
EMPLOYEE NEWS:
Anniversary’s
Join us in Saying Happy Anniversary to your Team mates!
IRA BENOIT 1 Years / WILMINGTON NC - As one our favorite managers always says, boy did we kiss a lot frogs in Wilmington before we found our current princely crew.
Ira came to us as not only a veteran in the outboard side of the industry but also a US Army Veteran. From Helicopters to boats he approaches every job with a good attitude and high integrity! The North Carolina market can be finicky and feast or famine and Ira just goes with the flow! Congrats IRA and Thank you!
LINDSEY HEUER 1 Year / TAMPA AREA Another Teacher!!!! Most of you will never talk to or hear from Lindsey, but she is a huge part of the puzzle because she handles the Mulah! Lindsey is our Accounts Receivables Specialist and has been doing a down right bang up job of it.
Many jobs in this industry can be thankless, but the person who has to convey and collect the bills is probably the least thanked of all of them. If you ever feel like reaching out to add a smile to her day, you can email her at ar@triseakeeper.com!
MARK BREWER 1 Years / FORT LAUDERDALE Wowzers were we lucky to find Mark. For those of you who don’t know Mark he knows the industry extremely well and used to run his own company in the Florida Keys. He could have gone anywhere to work at anytime and his resume fell in our lap and we hopped on it. Mark is relaxed in the state of chaos, charming in places that no one should be and a whiz at the MFD side of the house. We have learned as much from Mark as he has from us. If you see him, give him a congrats on his first year!!!! Thank you Mark!

GYRO SHENANIGANS
I know some of you like to get your Gyro Updates. The first photo is of Gyro looking very proud of himself after he chased a blue heron through a Wilmington NC Marsh and the second is after I shamed him. It has taken 3 baths and 3 days and the smell is still not gone - but I am certain he enjoyed every second of it. lol
